They serve mainly fortune 500 customers in the process industry for base chemicals, fine and specialty chemicals and the pharmaceutical industry. However, their products can also be found in the food, mining, semiconductor and paper industries.

To strengthen the team of our client at his site in Kempen we are currently looking for a

Lean / Continuous Improvement Leader (M/W)

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with functional leaders and site management staff to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities. Manage a robust review process for selecting, scoping and prioritizing Lean initiatives
  • Provide leadership / mentoring / training to all levels and functions of the business unit on the use and practice of Lean methodology and tools within the company
  • Responsibility for planning and assisting in the execution of various Lean transformation Kaizen events targeted towards improving the operations and site performance
  • This position will help deliver significant and quantifiable process improvement and financial benefit across the business's site and functions
  • Focus on operations performance and constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve quality and customer satisfaction via the use of Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Review current and future’s state value stream maps, facilitate and support Kaizen events
  • Act as a key driver of change within the Business Unit, supporting site staff and functional leaders by communicating the site-wide changes to employees and helping them to learn, understand, adjust and grow with the sites's Lean transformation
  • Manage Lean reporting activities for the organization internally and to Corporate
  • Develop Lean training plans, site’s trainers and track progress, identifying and communicating various Lean training and benchmarking opportunities


Your Profile

Professional Background
  • Completed university degree in engineering or equivalent technical management education
  • 5-8 years significant experiences in Lean or CI roles, ideally from world-class production manufacturers
  • Fluent language skills in German and English
  • Knowledge of other European languages would be an asset
